The Scene : Night number two for 'The Club'. A new set of people, somewhat. The same set somewhat. Charlie Brown's was a great place to start - new to some, but not to all. One of the many looked at, but never checked out, until now. From here, we moved on to The Hornet, where utter drunkenness ensued.

The only thing I have to say is...Banka would love this place & I had a drink in his honor. There were several elderly people around a piano singing loud older songs. It was simply wonderful. I could see him sitting at the piano singing, drinking, smoking cigarette. He would probably start "Tiny Bubbles" Especially right now, it's nice to think about him being with me on my night out on the town. - FruitFly

Not much to be said for the singles populous, but what it lacks in "meat" it makes up for with the COOL dim lighting, stiff drink, ample seating, and, did I mention the nostalgic oldie - pianist crankin out the mood like a crack dealer. I'm back - quick check - more time..."I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover" now. The piano player - a 120 year old trollish looking, droopy eyes, hunched. RIGHT ON! Got yelled at by a grumpy bartender - seems they called her, woke her up, and told her to come in. She's bitter and taking it out on us. Only bad vibe about the place. Ever since Mr. Shultz passed away I have been missing the aura of how those characters, especially Zymos has touched me with his thoughts. A piano means atmosphere with a Kettle One and tonic & cigarette voice of a 73 year old woman trying "Summertime when the living is EZ" in the middle of it.
