Dead Beat Club

The Scene 10/19/00 : Tonight was a special night in the life of The Barflies, because it was tonight that the first membership indoctrination ceremonies were performed complete with the mandatory shot corresponding to your name, and the subsequent reception of your 'Official Membership Card'. That was all earlier, at Lincoln's Road House, where we got the night started. It was also a special night, becuase it marks the first time The Club has ever 'officially' repeated it's route to the same bar twice. It was a special occasion, though, as larvae fly, Jessica, was celebrating her birthday there, and the Dead Beat Club kicked us free cover for anyone who could show an 'Official Membership Card'. Granted, that was only $3 saved by the guys (the girls get in free on Thurs. anyway) but it was the first kick down to the club as a club, and it was a chance to use the cards. Thanks, DBC. We didn't write a lot again, but we had a lot of fun.
