The Scene : Tonight was our second flight through the world known as the 'Dives of North Denver". At the end of this night, we definitely had good reason to call it that, but we also had some unexpected twists that kept it interesting. The start spot was the 'It'll Do Lounge' where we stayed only long enough to collect all the members, which itself took several drinks worth of time. From here we flew on to the very unique (for us anyway) Tequila Lé Club, the trusty ole' hole we know and love, Bubba's, and, after trying to find a couple places that just don't exist, Cheri's Pub. Follow along...

The Buzz From The Flies

I was right - It is the diviest of dives. Juke box half country, half classic R&R (Segar, Eagles, etc.) and the Guns & Roses we played to keep it lively. Bud and Bud Light on tap - that's it. OK Absolute & tonics. Cool tender of the bar. Oh - take a big breath before you go into the men's room and don't take another one until you come out. Trust me on this one. - FireFly

Not a woman in the place. What do you folks do? Well juke very 80's/60's not bad, but good. What about the chics? Where are they? Dogs on the wall playing pool very cool. Bartender does a good job. Obviously she's happy to see us. Dive if you're looking. Imagine that from the name. - SuperFly

I was worried about walking in wearing a Hawaiian Shirt...But after being here a while, I have nothing to fear except the drunks at the bar. (All with names on their shirt). Don't get me wrong, all cool people. The bar is small and local. Wide variety on the juke. Gun's & Roses to Hank Williams, Jr. Like it, for now. Service is good. Pool tables! - TikiFly

Thick wall of smoke and Patsy Cline song hit me on the way in. Stares from the local bar flies initially unnerving. As one of the only two women in the bar (apart from the bartender) images of The Accused lingered, but only through the first round. Would not come here without a group of guys, but enjoyed my time. - GuestFly

It'll do lounge... More than I hoped it would be. I've driven by it a number of times, but am glad to finally see the inside. Pool tables a good surprise & bigger inside than I imagined. Kind of quiet - but we livened it up! A nice neighborhood place - considering the neighbors and only with a big group of guys! - Lisa

What an appropriate name for the place - It'll Do. Affordable drinks and a warped pool table - what a place. It was/is a quality place that should be enjoyed and savored. A quality joint with the locals to back it up. What a jem - a diamond in the rough, so to speak. - Flyzerman

It'll Do.....Exactly...A hillbilly's paradise. Sweet bartender...but not enough to get my liver-engine running. It'll Do...for a one eyed/divorce/with a bottle of ripple in the trunk of his/her 80's BroncoII (with a boom box in the rear seat). - MagnumP.Fly
