La Rumba

The Scene : Only a few of us actually made it out of Armida's and on to La Rumba. Those of us that did had in our possession many Mardi Gras beads, which always put a twist on things anyway. This was no different, except I think Latino girls, at least the one's we met this night, didn't really get the gist of the whole trading-for-the-beads concept. Oh well, a great time was had, even if it was at the expense of a few strands of beads. There are more where those came from...

Well, this has been quite fun. Mardis Gras beads always draw attention from the girls - and this place is no different, although I get the impression they are unnecessary for attention getting. The ladies come here to be dazzled by a sexy fellow rumba'er. For those of us unpracticed types, rumba's much easier than the swing that used to be here when it was 9th Ave West.
