Lakeview Lounge

The Scene : In an attempt to find a place a little bit summerish, we headed this Thursday to the Lakeview Lounge. While not particularly summery, it, and the lake in front of it, provided a perfect vantage point from which to view some surprise fireworks from Elich's. A short time was spent here, before moving on to the Mead St. Station. From here, we attempted to meet at another bar that turned out to be closed, and the small buzzing group left by that point dissipated....

The Buzz From The Flies

The Lakeview Lounge is in my hood, so I'm happy to check on the unknown. The lighting is low, the music clean, a good jukebox, vinyl booths. Large booths available for large crowds. No credit cards is a drawback to heavy drinking. I'm going for cash. Very large TV. Good pool area. I came here after a nap and feel comfortable, a feeling sure to fade as I want more eye candy and action. Glenn's "Hungover" shirt is my favorite garment of the evening. As always, I'll like to enjoy a 90 Shilling draft right now and all they have is Coors draft. A local bar through and through. Edgewater with a view of the lake. - PanicFly

After a two week hiatus, I return to the familiar faces of our hive. Tonight, we find ourselves once again the majority in a dilapidated watering hole with the Barfly/snowmobiler vibe minus the open window to vent the smoke. Are those the same fold-out chairs from the local cafeteria? All in all, come here to toast your dead cat, but not a place to come to PARTY. Nice service, though....We're off. - MagnumP.Fly

The locals were nice, but the bar itself has too many rules. (or at least the lady tending bar). The best thing this bar has going for it is the old elementary school intercom speakers for the juke box - but the flies make it fun. Even if there is a nazi bar wench. - SoulFly

Games galore. - Pool, foos, shuffleboard, Golden Tee, Comfy booths. 5 songs for a buck on the box. No people, but the ones that came with us. 16 righteous partiers here for the fun that we generate ourselves. Let's go generate it somewhere else. - FireFly

Boy, what a great view of the lake- of you call that puddle a lake, but this is Denver and the lack of water is fantastic. Anywho, bar was white trash rif raf, but since we have taken over the bar, all is good. But I am eagerly waiting fort the next bar. CHARLIE BATCH and I are OUT! - Flyzerman

Addenda ... (hour since last entry) The bar lady, Delma, is not so bad after all. What the idea... You need discipline so you won't act foolish...or is is so you know you're loved. Anyway I'm liking the games. - Flyzerman
