Park Tavern

Barfly Social Club Review : On the first night of the Barfly Social Club, it did seem a little out of place to go to one of our usual haunts like The Park Tavern. Actually, though, it fit in quite well. We were still able to get our fix of the new spots, the Rio Grande which came before and Barricuda's afterward were both fresh, so having a usual spot in between was a nice twist.

The Buzz From The Flies

Everyone would tell you I'm biased toward this place. Hot, pierced, tattooed, snowboarding babes - MY DREAM! Not to mention pool tables, kick ass juke box (Beastie Boys, G-Love, Pixies, Sublime...), foosball, etc. Let me get in all caps - 2 FOR 1 DRINKS EVERYDAY 4-6:30 & 10-12 - every college kid's dream come true - cheap drinks, hot hook ups - LOTS O' FUN. The Park is one of those "down home: local bars... It happens to be local to a young hood with : Sexually Diverse Crowd - homo/hetero/utero, wide beer selection with 2 for 1's after 10pm. This is primarily a "sit" bar : dark, good jukebox, pool, foosball. Slim pickens on the available ladies, but likely to get laid if the ice can be broken. Another hangout bar with a homey feel. Smoky and they checked ID's for me & my lover, 30 & 36. Healthy TV selection. Pizza joint caddy corner not open past 10:30 on Thursday nights! Quality booths. Great outside Capital Hill seating. Excellent group silly drunk setting. - PanicFly

So much to say - memories abundant, all but a few of them great - this one definitely included. Not home, but rather a 'usual' vacation spot. Radicals, but peaceful ones. No better drink deal in town - though Absolute/tonics are not included. Hotties - there's a few, enough to keep the eyes interested. Friends - tons of them all around. - FireFly

Around the corner, in the neighborhood bar, good drinks - white russians are my choice. For me, one drink lets me leave pretty giddy. Cool people, pretty diverse crowd, decent prices. Good memories, Brenda loves the foosball tables. Nice waitress on this night. I think her name is Marci.
