The Scene : We didn't have any idea what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to go from the Heavenly Daze, our starter spot, to Zu, another unique twist found by the flies who go looking. Looking for and finding places like Zu - that's what we are about - seeking and finding unique and original first-time fun in places you would not otherwise look. Much thanks to the Zu for their support, for cutting the cover charge in half for the flies that night!

The Buzz From The Flies

I haven't shaken' it to such good music, outside of my own living room, since I've moved here from NY. The energy, the vibe, and the hip hop played at the Zu was enough to keep me dancing from the minute I sauntered through the door to the moment I staggered my way out. Once again, the Barfly Social Club took me somewhere I probably never would've found on my own and ended up introducing me to THE place I'll go to when I've got that urge to move. - ShooFly

This is a place and a half. The music was great and the people very friendly. I have not danced that much in a while. Dark lights and interesting music you can not be disappointed.- SuperFly

Zu: Not for the Caged Mind. - Zu is a little dance club on Broadway, appealing to the broad-minded Denverite. The sexual vibe running through this place is animal in nature. The uncaged vibe is fueled by the infectious hip hop/rap grooves of the DJ and potent libations of the accommodating bar tenders. The women's bathroom itself is a sexual microcosm of the club. Men and women with zebra-like sexual appetites frequent this joint, and if you've got it going on, you'll be hit on by both sexes. Who knew this place existed! What a find. - RockerFly

Well. This is interesting. I sure didn't expect something like this, but, come to think of it, I really didn't have any expectations at all. It's really hard to describe. Some of the men look girlier than some of the girls, the music is hoppin', and, while not exactly homey feeling, I'm comfortable and having a great twisted and unique fly-time. - FireFly
